Driving Assistance Technology – Vision Light Systems

The objective of this one-day training module is to provide the technician with an understanding of the new technologies now being utilised in vehicle lighting and Driving AssistanceTechnology. Systems utilising Xenon technology, LED units, Park Assist, Lane Departure Warning and night vision systems require specific knowledge to service, diagnose and repair.

• Issues with Quartz Halogen bulb systems
• Parabolic verses elliptical and complex surface reflectors
• Legal requirements with respect to HID (High Intensity Discharge) Xenon systems
  Manual levelling, self levelling, built in fail safe systems
• LED system description and design
• Serial Port Diagnostics for vision systems
• Diagnostic equipment, information sources and requirements
• Practical troubleshooting
  Schematics, voltage over time, at a glance diagnostics, vision system diagnostic strategy
• Other vision systems
  Lane departure warning systems, camera systems, infrared vision, night vision enhancement systems
• Customer Interface and Consultation
