Safety Systems SRS

The aim of this one-day SRS systems course is to provide an understanding of the fundamentals of these systems, starting
from first principles and concentrating also on the SRS systems required to understand and work with these systems.

• Introduction to safety restraint systems
  Basic system operation, health and safety, system types
• General operating principles
  ECU / crash sensor, air bag construction, system layout
• Components
  Driver’s bag, ECU, passenger, protection, occupancy, recognition, curtain bags, side impact bags, seat belt, pretensioners, clock spring, anti-submarine seat, anti-whiplash seats
• Future developments
  Pedestrian protection, roll over protection
• Diagnostic & SRS
  Known SRS issues, SRS circuit testing
